June 2020 Report

Testing during the Fall of 2019 and Spring of 2020 revealed slight movement in the slope indicating that further strengthening of the berm will be necessary.  Also, another inclinometer well will need to be drilled to allow for testing next to the M building.  Measurements were taken inside several of the units in M building which confirmed that the rear of the building has tilted and the entire building is sloping about 5 inches from front to back.  If the building can be repaired someday the foundations may need to be raised with supporting piers and leveled.  We are awaiting a further geotechnical report and design requirements to determine what will be required to strengthen the berm and increase the level of safety to meet the goal of 1.5.    After determining the feasibility, cost of construction and obtaining the financial participation among all affected parties, further enlargement of the berm may commence.  Continued testing will be required approximately every six months until such time as the berm is deemed stable and the slope is rendered safe.   Below is the latest update letter from the engineering company involved in the project:
